Los Angeles Book Launch & Workshop
June 21, 2012
Lauded designer and architectural conservator, Xorin Balbes created his eight-stage SoulSpace process to help his clients create homes that reflect and celebrate what is essential about their inhabitants. The process works for any budget, anytime, anywhere and results in inspiration, self-discovery, and practical solutions. Through the stages — assess, release, cleanse, dream, discover, create, elevate, and celebrate — you will explore not only the design of your abode but also your own interior: how you think, feel, and sense the world. Empowered with this self-knowledge, you will discover fresh ways to de-clutter, refresh, and enhance your living space.
Xorin’s wonderfully unique, expertly designed and decorated homes don’t necessarily feel like havens to their dwellers or reflect, inspire, and celebrate what is essential about their inhabitants. Through client stories, exercises, Q & As, and bountiful photos and illustrations, Balbes guides readers to decode clues to what they wish for, deny, and need to move forward. Empowered with this self-knowledge, they are free to de-clutter, refresh, and enhance their living spaces. Suitable for any budget and for one wall or one room, apartments or mansions, Balbes’ wonderfully unique technique nurtures and transforms both your soul and your home.
Red Road Retreats, in conjunction with Interior Design industry sponsors, Unisource Solutions and Haworth Inc. were pleased to host the Los Angeles launch and book signing workshop for Xorin’s new book, Soul Space (www.amazon.com). Over eighty industry design leaders attended an evening presentation in the recently renovated Haworth showroom in the Water garden in Santa Monica, California that featured many award winning projects by designer Balbes utilizing his Soul Space Eight step design process.
A CEU retreat program for designers at Balbes’ Lumeria Maui retreat and Educational Center on Maui is planned for Spring 2013. For details and information on attendance or industry sponsorship please contact Betsy Klein at Betsy@redroadretreats.com.
